Part 1: Match your trip in 30 seconds
Answer four quick questions. We’ll suggest the safari zone that’s open and suits you, the kind of stay to look for and a ready-made package to start from.
Part 2: Your booking timeline
Corbett permits sell out quickly because they open on a fixed day before each safari date. Enter your date and we’ll work backwards to show when to book what, and which zones will be open.
- Pick your safari date to see your personal booking timeline.
Part 3: Estimate your budget
Jeeps are priced per vehicle and shared by up to six adults, so the cost per person drops as your group grows. Adjust the options to see a realistic estimate built from current fees.
Estimates only; see safari prices for what each fee includes. Your quote confirms the final amount.
Part 4: Key things to decide
Timing
From mid-November to mid-June every zone is open. Winter is cool and misty, and summer is hot but brings animals to water. From July to September only Jhirna, Dhela and the Sitabani buffer usually run. Month-by-month guide.
Day safaris or a night inside?
Most visitors stay at a resort and take jeep safaris. For the full wilderness experience, a forest rest house inside Dhikala or Bijrani is unforgettable but basic. Compare night-stay options.
Travelling with children
Children love Corbett, but early starts, cold jeeps and long drives need planning. Read the first-time family guide.
Choosing an ethical operator
- Only registered Gypsys with a registered guide may enter the zones. Ask for the vehicle and guide details.
- A good operator never pressures drivers to chase or crowd animals, and follows park rules.
- Clear written quotes with what is and isn’t included, and permits issued in your guests’ own names.

Who made this planner
These tools are built by the JimCorbett.org team in Ramnagar, who plan Corbett trips every week. The numbers come from the same fee and package data that power our quotes, so what you see here matches what we’d quote you. About our team.
Frequently asked questions
How far ahead should I plan a Jim Corbett safari?
Start about two months ahead. Permits open roughly 45 days before the safari for Indian nationals and 90 days for foreign nationals, and popular dates sell out within days.
How accurate is the budget estimator?
It uses the same indicative fees and cab rates as our quotes, but hotel rates vary by property and date. Treat it as a planning range. Your written quote confirms the final price.
Can I book directly from the planner?
Yes. Use "Get this plan quoted" in the trip matcher or the enquiry button, and our team replies with availability and a written price.
What if I’m going at the last minute?
Weekday safaris in Jhirna, Dhela and the Sitabani buffer often have space a week or two ahead. Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll check what’s still available.
