Who we are

JimCorbett.org is run by a small travel team based in Ramnagar, the gateway town to Jim Corbett National Park. Most of us grew up around the park, and we spend our days doing what visitors find hardest from far away: working out which safari zone suits you, checking permit availability, matching you with the right stay and getting you there by road.

We are an independent travel facilitator. We are not part of the Forest Department, and we don’t own the resorts or vehicles you see on this site. Our job is to put the right pieces together for you and to stay on hand, on WhatsApp and phone, from your first question until you are back home.

What we do

• Safari permit assistance: we help you apply for official Corbett Tiger Reserve jeep and canter permits for zones such as Bijrani, Jhirna, Dhikala and Dhela, and arrange the registered gypsy and guide. See safari booking.

How we work and how we earn

When you send an enquiry, one of our team reads it, checks availability with the relevant partner and replies with options and a written price. Once you confirm, we coordinate the booking and share every confirmation with you.

We earn mainly through a commission paid by our partner hotels, cab and tour operators on bookings we send them. This is built into their normal rates, so you should not pay more than the property’s own published price for the same room and dates. Where we charge a service fee (for example, for handling safari permit applications), it is shown as a separate line in your quote before you pay. There are no hidden charges.

Why you can trust us

• We are upfront about what we are. We never present ourselves as the official park website, and we always point you to the official portal if you prefer to book permits yourself.
• Verified partners. We work with resorts, drivers and safari operators we have personally visited or travelled with, and we drop partners who don’t treat guests well.
• Transparent pricing. Government fees, our service fee and supplier costs are listed separately in writing.
• Local and reachable. We are in Ramnagar, a short drive from the safari gates, and answer WhatsApp every day.
• Clear policies. Our terms, cancellation policy and privacy policy are written in plain language.

Our standards: responsible tourism

Corbett is India’s oldest national park and home to wild tigers, elephants and hundreds of bird species. We want it to stay that way, so we hold ourselves and our partners to a few simple rules:

• Safaris run only with CTR-registered vehicles and licensed nature guides, on permitted routes and timings.
• No chasing, crowding or baiting animals, no honking, and no feeding wildlife.
• No plastic or litter inside the reserve, and quiet voices in the jungle.
• We encourage stays and suppliers that employ local people and respect the neighbouring villages.
